The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property issues a statement regarding the situation in Japan

Today, the Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (IMPI), which oversees all administrative processes related to patents, utility models, industrial designs, integrated circuit layout designs, marks, slogans and the publication of trade names, issued a statement in the Federal Official Gazette suspending the deadlines for administrative processes issued since the 11th of March and onward.

This decision only affects those applications for patents, utility models, industrial designs, integrated circuit layout designs where the applicant indicated Japan as the domicile. Effectively suspending the processes and the corresponding deadlines until further notice, which will be published in the Federal Official Gazette.
