Mauricio Caballero 

Practice Areas: Mauricio Caballero is a Biologic Pharmaceutical Chemist and is part of the patent team of AM&L.

Career: Practices in the field of patents since 2000. For eleven years he served as supervisor and patent examiner at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), where he conducted the following activities: patent application analysis and drafting office actions, searches in the state of the art and technical patentability opinions. He has experience in pharmaceutical patents and in the International Patent Classification (IPC). In 2008 he was recognized as the Vice-president of the fortieth session of the Committee of Experts of the IPC Union of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland. He joined AM&L in 2011.

Academic: He is a graduate of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM, 2003). He has participated in various industrial property and plan variety courses, among which stands out “Patent Cycle” presented by the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), in Strasbourg, France.
