Practice Areas: Leslie Flores coordinates the investigation and training area aimed at protecting the intellectual property rights of our clients.

Professional Memberships: Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.

Career: She has five years of experience in the area and has given anti-counterfeit training courses related to the identification of counterfeit goods to the customs authorities of the International Airport of Mexico City, Manzanillo, Veracruz, Lázaro Cárdenas, Monterrey, Pantaco, Ciudad Hidalgo and Mazatlán. As well as to staff of the General Attorney’s Office (PGR), the National Institute for Criminal Sciences (INACIPE) and the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI). Outside of Mexico she has trained port authorities of Guayaquil, in Ecuador and Guatemala. In 2010, she gave the conference “Investigating IP Crime – the Investigator’s View Point in Mexico” during the 14th Annual Anti-Counterfeiting Fraud Conference, organized by the firm Kestenberg Siegal Lipkus LLP in Toronto, Canada.

Academic: Degree in Philosophy, with honorable mention, from the Universidad Panamericana (UP, 2005). She has taken various courses and programs on intellectual property issues such as: Intellectual Property in America: Free Trade Agreements, Current Issues and the Future of Intellectual Property (2008), Border Measures 2009: A team effort. The role of the Intellectual Property rights holders (2009) and Intellectual Property Clinics – “Copyright and related issues” (2010).
