Career: With more than eighteen years of experience in intellectual property practice in some of the most prestigious law firms in Mexico, Elías has managed matters for various national and foreign clients, both for the protection of their rights as well as for the resolution of disputes. Counselor accredited by the Ministry of Economy, Elías has experience teaching at the Universidad Panamericana and at the Universidad del Valle de Mexico, among others. Recognized by Chambers Latin America 2011 as a leading lawyer in the field, he is Vice-president of the International Treaty Commission of AMPPI.
Academic: Degree in Law from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He has completed various patent studies at the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation and at the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship based in Tokyo, Japan. Certified in Industrial and Intellectual Property Law, in Civil Procedural Law, Commercial Law and Constitutional Proceedings, from the Universidad Panamericana.
